This page explains what buymemac.com collects, why, and what's shown publicly. Short version: only what you type in, shown the way you'd expect — and no ad trackers.
What you give me
- Booking a spot: brand name, website, optional X handle, and your logo.
- Contributing: a name or handle, an optional message, an optional link, and an optional logo.
These are shown publicly on the site (the Mac, the leaderboard and the sides of the page) once your payment succeeds — that's the point. Don't put anything in them you don't want public.
Payments
Checkout is handled by Dodo Payments, which collects your email, billing details and card information under its own privacy policy. I receive the payment status, amount and the details you typed on this site — never your card details.
Visitor counts
The "online now" and "visitors" numbers use a random ID stored in your browser (localStorage) and a random ID per open tab. They aren't linked to your name, aren't shared with anyone, and no advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Where it's stored
The site runs on Cloudflare. Bookings, contributions and logos are stored in a Cloudflare database. Cloudflare may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
Your choices
Want your name, message, link or logo changed or removed? message @mohd_afzalx on X and I'll update or remove it. Payment records are kept by Dodo Payments as required for tax and accounting.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change too.
